The Yamas and Niyamas, are a traditional yogic set of guidelines and practices for ‘right living’. Santosha in Sanskrit means contentment; accepting and appreciating who we are and what we have already. We avoid always striving for the next thing and appreciate that things are never perfect. We know we are in the right place. In our yoga practice this can be seen as being ok with where we are in our practice and feeling gratitude and contentment towards that.

"Don't push yourself too hard in class. Always listen to your body and what it needs. Stop if you are in pain. Make sure you have a safe open place to practice and that you consult a health professional for advice on injuries, conditions or illness."
