YOGA FOR SUMMER | YIN
AYURVEDA | YOGA • 20m
Level 0-1
w/ LAURA
Summer is considered Pitta season and we want to balance this heat with a cool, open and surrendering Yin practice. Yin Yoga, postures held for between 3-5 minutes, is a cooling practice, as we don’t actively engage the muscles or create any heat, as well as lowering our rate of respiration, our heart rate and our blood pressure. Expect to open the hips and side body, calm the nervous system and find deep relaxation in this session.
Equipment: Optional 2 Yoga Blocks + a Bolster/ cushions

"Don't push yourself too hard in class. Always listen to your body and what it needs. Stop if you are in pain. Make sure you have a safe open place to practice and that you consult a health professional for advice on injuries, conditions or illness."
