Part of our Yamas and Niymasa Vinyasa Series. Throughout this steady Basics Flow we find what we need, working through lots of twists and some balancing and hip opening poses. Feeling into the poses rather than thinking about how they look. Finishing with a calming savasana.
Equipment: 1 Yoga Block
The Yamas and Niyamas, are a traditional yogic set of guidelines and practices for ‘right living’. Asteya in Sandskrit means non-stealing. This can obviously mean not stealing, however this can also mean always feeling like we need to achieve more and more and gain more material possessions all the time. Making this Yama more about the cause of ‘stealing’ rather than stealing itself. In our yoga practice this could translate as wanting what others have, comparing, copying and pushing too hard. If we feel complete enough we can do whats right for us, take what we need rather than pushing too hard and comparing.
Laura is the Founder of The Yoga Class and an experienced Yoga and Meditation teacher. Her aim is to empower her clients to unfold this transformative practice for body and mind.
