We cover some of the main elements and poses in the Ashtanga Primary series, starting with sun salutations, moving through into standing, then seated and finishing with savasana. A well rounded beginners sequence covering some of the most important yoga postures as well as Ujjayi breath, Bandhas (energy locks) and Drishti being explained. We make our practice a breath led moving meditation.
Laura is the Founder of The Yoga Class and an experienced Yoga and Meditation teacher. Her aim is to empower her clients to unfold this transformative practice for body and mind. Expect innovative, playful yet supportive classes focusing on developing strength, mobility, flexibility and form with a strong focus on calming the mind though the breath. Laura’s classes combine hours of training, learning and teaching to create a sustainable, nourishing and enjoyable method for classes. We work through basic poses, exploring twisting elements throughout. Twists are detoxifying, improving circulation and engaging through the core and glutes. Practice is a moving meditation, linking breath and movement and finishing with a relaxing Savasana.
