The Yamas and Niyamas, are a traditional yogic set of guidelines and practices for ‘right living’. Svadyhyaya is Sanskrit for the practice of self study. In our yoga practice, we become the watcher of our thoughts on and off the mat, noticing what comes up and shining the light of awareness on our patterns and thoughts. Where does the mind go in different situations and in different yoga postures

Don't push yourself too hard in class. Always listen to your body and what it needs. Stop if you are in pain. Make sure you have a safe open place to practice and that you consult a health professional for advice on injuries, conditions or illness."
